This is something that I came across when looking for notations of sound and dance visualisations when researching in regards to ways in which I could possibly visualise gym routines and exercises. I think its extremely fascinating how the sand moves into very interesting patterns simply based on the frequency of sound on the speaker, and how these patterns can change quite drastically from frequency to frequency. The fact that the designer has used it to create a branding for an orchestra is an exciting and captivating idea, that stays well away from possible clichés. At first you may not understand the reasoning behind the patterns but if you are knowledgeable about sound and the experiments by Ernst Chladni you will understand the context that surrounds the patterns and the branding.
